Mediterranean Spinach and Feta Dip Ingredients
- Chopped spinach
- Feta cheese
- Cream cheese
- Onion
- Olive oil
- Butter
- Parsley (dried or fresh)
- Dill (dried or fresh)
- Garlic
- Ground black pepper
Note: The feta cheese gives the dip plenty of saltiness. If you prefer it saltier, you can add salt to taste!
How to Make Mediterranean Spinach and Feta Dip
STEP 1
Place the olive oil and butter in a medium skillet, and heat on medium-high until the butter is melted. If the oil and butter start to brown or smoke, turn down the heat.
STEP 2
Add the diced onion to the pan, and cook the onion until it starts to become translucent, stirring occasionally.
STEP 3
Add spinach, feta cheese, cream cheese, chopped parsley, chopped dill, minced garlic, and ground black pepper to the pan, and stir together to combine.
If you want some larger chunks of feta cheese, save half of the feta and add it at the end.
STEP 4
Cook dip on low heat until the ingredients are combined and well heated through, stirring occasionally (about 5-7 minutes). Stir gently so you don’t lose all of the delicious chunks of melty feta cheese!
Serving Recommendations
We love to serve this dip fresh and hot from the pan. If you are making it in advance, you can reheat in a pan, in the oven at 350° F, or in the microwave. It will also taste great at room temperature or cold!
This spinach dip is great accompanied by any of your favorite chips or crackers. One of our favorites is buttery Ritz crackers. Another delicious way to serve it is with crispy pita chips or soft pita wedges to complement the Mediterranean flavor from the herbs.

Let dip cool to room temperature, and store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

- 8 oz cream cheese
- 10 oz frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley (fresh or dried)
- 1 tsp chopped dill (fresh or dried)
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- ½ tsp ground black pepper
